Greek mountain tea comes in a variety of varieties. This variety, Sideritis clandestina, is endemic to the Peloponnese and is cultivated organically in Taygetos at an altitude of 1,600 meters in a Natura 2000 protected area. (Fortunately, wild collection of mountain tea is now very strictly regulated.)
At Taygetos Herbs, only the flower heads go into the bag.
